This project will provide new insights into how RNA splicing shapes glioma progression and treatment resistance and may reveal new opportunities for therapeutic intervention.

Song Lab Established at MUSC

The Song Lab has been established at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC).

Our laboratory studies how RNA regulation shapes brain tumor biology, tumor cell states, and the tumor microenvironment. We integrate computational genomics, transcriptomics, RNA-targeting approaches, and functional tumor models to understand mechanisms of malignant brain tumors and identify new therapeutic vulnerabilities.

Our research brings together RNA biology, glioma biology, tumor immunology, and tumor microenvironment research, with a particular interest in how tumor cells interact with immune and myeloid cells.

We look forward to building new collaborations and advancing our research at MUSC.
