Dr. Xiao Song is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neuroscience at the Medical University of South Carolina and a full member of the MUSC Hollings Cancer Center. Her research focuses on understanding how RNA regulation, particularly alternative splicing, shapes glioma biology, tumor cell-state plasticity, therapeutic response, and the tumor immune microenvironment. Her laboratory integrates computational genomics, transcriptomics, RNA-targeting approaches, and functional tumor models to identify RNA-based vulnerabilities and develop new therapeutic strategies for malignant brain tumors.
Dr. Hui Tang is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Neuroscience at the Medical University of South Carolina. His research investigates how tumor-intrinsic and immune-cell mechanisms shape the tumor microenvironment and influence cancer progression and therapeutic response. His work integrates cancer biology, immunology, patient-derived tumor models, human iPSC-derived immune cells, molecular and cellular assays, and transcriptomic approaches to define tumor-immune interactions and identify strategies to enhance antitumor immunity.
